Measurement Guide
A few simple measurements before you request a quote saves time and helps us give you the most accurate pricing. Follow these steps for each window or door opening.
Quick Tips
- Use a steel tape measure for accuracy
- Measure twice, record once
- Note measurements in inches (in)
- Measure each window/door separately
Width Measurement
Measure the width of the opening at three points: top, middle, and bottom. Record the smallest measurement to ensure a proper fit.
Height Measurement
Measure the height on the left side, centre, and right side of the opening. Again, use the smallest figure.
Depth / Reveal
Measure the depth of the recess (from the face of the wall to the back of the reveal). This determines whether a flush or recessed fit is best.
